For Over 40 Division Only:
"Ringer Rule" - All players will have a 3-goal limit per game. If a player scores a fourth goal, the goal will not count and the face-off will be in their team’s defensive zone. If a player scores a fifth goal, the goal will not count and they will be assessed a 2-minute Delaying the Game minor penalty. Players that have scored three goals are allowed to participate in shootouts.
--------------------------------
FOR ALL DIVISIONS
NO PLAYOFF GAMES WILL END IN A TIE. For the games leading up to the SEMI/ FINAL, all games that end in a tie will go directly to a 3 v 3 shoot out. For Semi Final and Final games each game will have a 5:00 run time 4 v 4 Sudden Death OT, followed by a 3 v 3 shoot out.
PLAYOFF GAMES that are NOT a SEMI or a FINAL
If a game ends in a tie, teams will proceed directly to a 3 v 3 shoot out.
SEMI FINAL and CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES
Teams will have a 4 v 4 5:00 run time OT followed by a 3 v 3 shoot out.
ONE TIME OUT ALLOWED in SEMI FINAL or CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL ONLY.
If still tied a 3 x 3 shoot out, then 1x1 until winner determined, but must cycle through entire bench before first player can shoot again. Any players serving a penalty when the OT ends will be ineligible for the shoot out.
Last 3 minutes of game if less than 3 goal differential will be stop time. Less than 3 goal differential means LESS THAN 3. That means 2 or 1... NOT 3.
All penalty minutes carry into tournament
No subs allowed except for goalies, but must be from same division or lower. That means no subs regardless of how many players you are missing or what their ranking is. No subs. period. SOL director can assign specific goalie to a specific game if needed.
